We are currently looking for additional officers/chairmen and volunteers for the 2024-2025 school year:
Book Fair / Feria del libro - Organize or volunteer at the Literati Book Fair scheduled for 11/18/2024 – 11/22/2024
Communications / Comunicaciones - Keep Gates community aware of PTA activities and events (Facebook, Konstella,
Community / Comunidad - Promote community at Gates Elementary (e.g. Viernes Sociales events)
Family Events / Eventos familiares - Organize or volunteer at family events (e.g. Movie Nights, Camp Out)
Fundraising / Recaudación de fondos - Organize or assist with Fall or Spring fundraiser, dineouts or other fundraising activities (e.g. Orange County Soccer Club Family Night, Pumpkin City, Angels Day)
Kids Run the OC - Coach, maintain equipment, purchase snacks or support the Kids Run the OC Program. Practices are on Thursday afternoons from 3pm - 4pm startiing in February. The one mile race typically occurs the first Saturday in May.
Spirit Wear / Ropa de espíritu - Purchase, sell, distribute and maintain inventory of Gates Spirit Wear.
Teacher/Staff Appreciation / La semana de agradecimiento - Organize or volunteer during Teacher/Staff Appreciation week from May 5th, 2025 - May 9th, 2025
Technology / Tecnología - Purchase and/or setup equipment to enable remote meetings and efficient translation
Translation / Traducción - Translate PTA communications to Spanish and/or be a translator at meetings.
Volunteer Coordinator / Coordinador de voluntarios - Contact potential volunteers and help them figure out where they can help the PTA. Maintain an active list of volunteers and assist programs and event chairs in finding volunteers.
