We are seeking nominees for the 2025-2026 School Year PTA officers. Elections take place at our Association Meeting on March 18, 2025.
Board Meetings take place on the 1st Tuesday of the month.
2025-2026 Association Meetings: September 16, November 18, January 20, March 17 and May 19
Description of the elected positions:
President (~40 hours / month)
Oversees and coordinates the work of an executive board to run a PTA effectively. Presides at PTA board and association meetings. Serves as the official contact, communicator and representative of a PTA. Signs PTA checks, contracts and authorizations for payment. Serves as ex-officio member of all committees except the nominating committee. Works with other PTA leaders to connect families, school and community to support student success.
Executive Vice President (~20-30 hours / month)
Secretary (~2-4 hours / month)
Treasurer (~20 hours / month)
Create and amend budget. Write checks for all reimbursements, invoices, and programs. Input all disbursements into PTA-EZ and reconcile bank account. Maintain treasurer's binder with all financial documentation. Prepare Treasurer reports for Board and Association Meetings. Work with Accountant to complete annual taxes, renew insurance and prepare Worker's Compensation report. Provide required financial documents and payments to SVPTA.
Financial Secretary (~1-3 hours / month)
Financial Reviewer (~4 hours / month)
Historian (~4 hours / month)
